- מַגְרֵףm. (גְָּרַף) 1) trowel. Ylamd. to Gen. 11:1, quot. in Ar. s. v. גרף. 2) shovel. Y.Shebi.III, 34c; Y.M. Kat. I, 80b סלו ומַגְרֵיפוֹוכ׳ his basket and shovel show that he is preparing dung.
